Including friends and family in the ceremony

I have had an enquiry this week about friends and family taking significant

parts in a wedding ceremony. That is absolutely fine with me, after all it is your

ceremony. I do have to perform several legal elements as required by Australian

Law. But, after that you can virtually run the show yourself. Don’t let other celebrants

put you off this idea. I have had best friends do introductions, it was really good

fun. Sometimes if you have a member of clergy in the family they also get involved.

A country wedding

I am going to be the marriage celebrant later this year for a country wedding. Planning this wedding is quite different from a city venue. Remember guest are usually travelling from all over the country so accommodation becomes one of the planning factors. Weather is another crucial element that requires forward planning.

I love my new website and want to say thanks to Susie Stevens who managed the build with her team of creative web designers and web developers. I wanted something that was unique for me and my business as a civil celebrant. And that’s what Susie specialises in.

So now that I have given Susie a free kick (and she deserves it), what I want to do with my blog is to keep in touch with all the wonderful people with whom I have worked as a civil celebrant over the past several years.

I really love my work. It’s such a privilege to be so closely involved with couples and loved ones on the significant days in their lives.
